Readers rejoice! We're bringing back our weekly Council Report, with plain-English summaries of the big-ticket City Council bills that were introduced in the last week. 

City Council's Legistar website is pretty useful if you know what to look for, but it's not quite optimized for easy scanning. 

There are a ton of bills, and resolutions, and ordinances on there at any given time and it can be tough to cut through the noise if you just want to know the really important legislation that came out that week. Plus, everything is in PDF format, and they make you download bills and agendas instead of just reading them on the website. Not so great!

That's why we're going to resume publishing a weekly Council Report featuring the bills that matter most that week, summarized with some context. We'll only be focusing on major bills, not resolutions and ordinances for small-ball items.
