Philadelphia 3.0 is pleased to announce our 2019 endorsements for the City Council primaries this May 21st.
Our organization's mission is to support candidates for City Council who are committed to achieving the big systems-level reforms to Philadelphia's government and political culture that we need to create more competitive elections, and political leadership that's up to the task of governing a growing and changing city. We believe all of these candidates fit the bill, and deserve your votes on May 21st.
Philadelphia 3.0 is also committed to supporting candidates who will hold the City accountable for improving the quality of the core, day-to-day municipal services that impact residents' daily lives, including our public schools, but also Licenses + Inspections, Streets and Sanitation, the Office of Property Assessment, Commerce, SEPTA, and more. Philadelphians deserve a municipal government that delivers world-class public goods and services for all residents in a cost-effective way. We aren't meeting that standard today, but with the right oversight and leadership from City Council, we can.
While they may have different—and sometimes even conflicting—visions for how we get there, all of our endorsed candidates share a strong commitment to governance and political reform in Philadelphia, the intelligence and ambition to tackle our toughest challenges, and a passion for making local government work better for the benefit of all residents’ quality of life.
Make sure to update your registration by the April 22nd deadline, and then go vote for our reform slate on May 21st!
