If you think PPA Executive Director Vince Fenerty deserves to be fired for sexually harassing a female colleague for two years, please sign and share this petition on Facebook.
The Inquirer reported yesterday that an independent investigation found Fenerty "engaged in a series of unwanted and repeatedly discouraged sexual advances," including "inappropriate touching and other untoward, unprofessional conduct."
But the Philadelphia Parking Authority board declined to fire Fenerty, and only gave him a little slap on the wrist. Incredibly, City Councilman and PPA board member Al Taubenberger excused Fenerty's behavior as "a high school puppy love situation."
This should be a fireable offense, but the PPA board is handling Fenerty with kid gloves, taking away a few of his executive powers, and requiring him to repay the Authority $30,000 for the cost of the investigation.
PPA board members Joseph Ashdale, Al Schmidt, Andrew Stutzman, Al Taubenberger, Russell Wagner, and Karen Wrigley can make the call to fire Vince Fenerty, and they need to hear from every Philadelphian who thinks women deserve safety and respect in the workplace.
If you agree the PPA needs to fire Fenerty to send a message that sexual harassment won't be tolerated, sign and share this petition on Facebook.
